Wednesdays with Wesley, snow edition!

Yea!   Finally it snowed again in NY!  Wes and I are so very happy!  Matt, not so much but he promised to make a big snowman with us when he gets home.  Yea for snow!

Wes has just been hanging out at home this week.  He is going stir crazy!  Nuts, bouncing off the walls, jumping up and down, up and down, up and down,  tormenting the cat we are cat sitting,  snuggling, doing school work, having time outs and cracking us up!

When he got up this morning and saw the snow, he was thrilled and as soon as Felicity went down for her nap we bundled up and headed out.

This was his attempt at a snow angel.  I could not stop laughing!  He sunk even deeper but I was laughing so hard all the photos came out blurry.  Hysterical!

We of course had to clear off a tractor so he could drive.

I walked off to take some snow pictures and when I looked behind me Wes was crawling through the deep snow.  When I asked why he was not walking he said, "Cause I losted my boot."

Oh man,  let's just say it's not easy to find a small boot in 15 inches of snow!

Once I finally found his boot and put it on his now freezing and soaking wet foot we started to head back inside.  But little boys can't walk with wet feet.  They just can't!
So...

He asked to be dragged.

Why and where he came up with this idea, I have no idea.  He absolutely loved, "sledding on his belly".  What a silly boy.

Wednesdays with Wesley

This week has been smoother than last week.  Much smoother!  Wes is finally deciding that Mommy and Daddy do know best and is learning to stop crying so much when things don't go as planned.  Yea!

We have had a lot of fun this week!  Playing Candy Land, Memory, doing school work, playing with our friends cat (we are cat sitting), singing and making up songs, making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and brownies.

One of Wesley's favorite things to do is School work, while Felicity takes her morning nap.  So when I picked up Felicity and asked her, "Are you ready to go to bed Peanut?"   Wes, who was standing right next to us, chimed in, in his squeakiest little voice, "Yes, put me to bed Mommy."  Then he jumps back like he was shocked and says, in his normal voice, "WOA Mommy, her said her wanted to go to bed! Her did!  Put her to  bed Mommy.  Yet's do school work!"

The boy just cracks me up!

This is Wesley when he learned if he climbs on Felicity's piano he can get onto the gate and unlatch it from the other side.

This is Wesley trying to climb over and get away from Mommy when he realized I was watching him!

Kirstie watched both kids for us on Sunday, so Matt and I could have an in house date (watch movies, eat dinner and do 6 loads of laundry).  She has a bath tub and since we do not it is a great treat for the kids to go over there and play!    Wes came back, squeaky clean and with a mohawk!  I loved it!  When I tried to get him to look at me for a photo, this is what I got.   I don't think he realizes that I can tell he is not looking at me.

Now he is just being silly.  Super cute and silly.

Every week is an adventure.  I love you little buddy!

Wednesdays with Wesley

Oh my dear Wesley...

You are giving your Mommy and Daddy a run for our money this week.
Every couple months you go through really nasty week or so.
This has been a bad week.

You have not only driven tractors, but you haven driven your mommy nearly to tears and your Daddy's patience are getting very thin.  You are pushing buttons I did not even know I had and exerting more energy than I ever though possible.

You are going from happy and laughing one minute to tears and temper tantrums the next.  You are such a strong willed little boy and I love you for that.  Your will and strength are what make you the little boy I love so very much!  Mommy and Daddy are working hard to train you in the way you should go while not breaking that will that gives you so much character.

So while this week has not been our best and you are testing your Mommy and Daddy to our very last limits, we love you to the moon and back a bazillion times.  These nasty attitude days will pass, you will eventually stop fighting and pick up your toys, you will stop stealing toys from your sister, eat your food with your silverware the correct way, stop saying words in an ugly tone, stop demanding and simply ask for things that you want and learn to put your underwear on so that the tag is in the back.

We have seen glimpses of our normally sweet little boy, like when you blew raspberries on your sister's tummy, read her a book, snuggled your Mommy and said, "you are da best Mommy I'd ever seeeeeen!",  played happily with Julie's dogs and when you sing your abc's at the top of your very large lungs blurring the LMNOP into one new very long and funny  letter.  I love you little man.  You are my sweet Wesley and even when we have our "testing" times, you are a precious jewel and Mommy and Daddy love you so very very much!

Wednesday's with Wesley

I have been thinking about doing something like this for awhile, but just have not gotten around to it. Wesley is growing up so fast and now that he is talking, he says and does the funniest things.  I want to be able to look back on them, years from now and laugh!   So, this is all about Wes and the silly, goofy, sometimes naughty, or the uniquely Wesley things he does!

This past week I did a photo shoot with my friend Kristie  and her dog Saphira .  Wes loved Saphira and kept feeding her popcorn and playing with her.  He also had to be in some of Kristie's photos, ofcourse he could not take his eyes off of  the Thomas the Tank movie that was playing.  :-)

Wes is in love with his little sister, though at time he says he's not.  When I was practicing with the back drop I made he  really wanted to be just like "Lisity" so off went his clothes and he became a baby too.

Raspberry blowing is a favorite of both kids, however I am quite positive that Wesley does it much better than Mommy and Daddy!

We took Wes to the McDonald's play area this week and while there he found a left over crown from a Birthday party that had just ended and upon putting it on his head profoundly proclaimed "Look guys!  I am the queen!"  haha We will have to work on that one.  :-)

While driving in the car Wes was asking me if roaring at me was ok.  I told him "That roaring noise is ugly noise and he should not make that at Mommy when he is talking to me."
His response, "Oh, it's ok Mommy we can just put makeup on it."

His favorite snack is "yogit" and he love "pomatoes" (tomatoes).  Pees and green beans make him "choke" and he likes to pee in the snow.

Kirstie taught him Pink Floyd songs while she was watching him this week so now he sings "I do need no edvatation (education)"  and "Hey!  Teacher leave those kids alone!"   We are working on Kirstie and trying to teach her to teach him more age appropriate songs.  :-)

Whenever Wes is thirsty he says "Mommy can you get me a dink, I'm parched."  And when he is hungry it is " I am pamished" (famished).  Thanks again to Kirstie for teaching his such great new words.

I can't wait to see what the next week has in store for this ever moving and learning little guy!
