This week I am really hoping to be inspired. I feel as though I am stuck in an editing rut. I had a really hard time doing an edit that wowed me. I wanted something really special but hard as I tried, it just did not happen. I do really like the photo I chose but that's probably because it is the only good photo I have on my little sister and I from her wedding
(I'm on the left, just in case you were wondering).

I would love some constructive criticism this week. I took this myself with my Nikon D3000 and 35mm 1.8 lens. Edited in Lightroom 3 Beta 2.

I like this photo a lot. It looks really good in black and white too.
Love this edit!! The Black and white looks great!
I love the edit too!
I think it's lovely!! you are both beautiful!
I think this is a nice conversion to black and white. I might have also softened the skin just a bit before desaturating. I love how you got the skin tone almost totally white without blowing out the rest of the image. Sweet photo!

I love this picture. Actually, I don't know if you can do this, but my sister-in-laws ex likes to make black and whites but leave one thing with color. I think this picture would look really good if you could get the color of the lei's in there. Just a thought.
wow what a lively pic

What a sweet pic! I would have softened the skin a bit more but that's just my taste. I like your edit a lot!
What a sweet picture and it looks good in black and white!! I agree with some others have said about softening the skin a little. But it's beautiful!!
I agree. Soften the skin a little but other than that I think it's a great edit. Fun picture!
