At last

I am finally blogging again.  I have taken a much longer than expected break, for a good reason, but  more on that later.  Right now I am just thrilled to finally be sharing with my friends, family, and blogging buddies again.

It has been bitter cold and living on top of a plateau of sorts makes it uber windy, which means turning into a Popsicle and blowing away are real possibilities if you stay out too long at our house.  We have, spent some time out doors but not nearly as much as last year.  This winter seems to be much colder and windier and all the snow we have gotten is the super light stuff that just blows in your face, not the fun snowman building snow.  This past week however we bundled up and played till for just about frozen, even Matt took a turn pulling the kids around on his old sled.

Both kids love sled rides.  Wes is a fan of going fast and even flipping over...Felicity not so much.  Going fast is fine, flipping led to a complete boycott of sledding for the rest of the day.   Anytime we got near her with the sled she hugged my leg, said "no" and even growled once.  She is not a fan of getting snow in her face!

Getting out and breathing fresh cold air was a nice change to being stuck inside all day.  I miss the sun.

Matt and Wes had a blast chasing each other.  It was great to see them having so much fun.

When everyone's noses where red and finger freezing we headed inside for more hot cocoa and marshmallows.  It was great.

Fun,fun! I walked and jogged a little around the yard with Brad yesterday morning while David snow blowed the driveway. It's a workout! :)
