On our recent trip to the Jersey shore, we introduced Felicity to the Ocean. It was not her first time in the Ocean but it was the first time that she was able to play in it.
I only broke our "Nikki" on the last day we were in NJ and have yet to upload the photos off my point and shoot. I am sure there are many more fun shots of her on the beach that I will share later.
Our last day, was by far the hottest and the water was the warmest so it was the first time she really got into playing in and around the water.
She was very good the entire time at the beach and we spent a lot of time on the beach. Mostly she just watched everything and played in the sand. She also made my heart purr when she took a two hour nap in my arms! Napping on my chest is a rare occurrence these days and I treasured every salty, damp, sandy moment.
Walking in the sand was a little difficult for her but she did not mind falling because she loved splashing in the water and playing in the sand.
That is until a wave sneak attacks her from behind!
I know what you're thinking, "pick that baby up!"
Sorry I couldn't, those faces were too much! She was seriously giving me the evil eye though. Seriously!
Daddy saved her from the waves and the crazy photo taking Mommy.
Her annoyance with getting splashed soon ended when she discovered more sand and shells. Off she went again, like a drunken sailor, tripping and falling with every other step. I think there are many more trips to the beach in store for this little one.

Oh my she is precious! And I would have snapped the grumpy photos too!
Beautiful shots! She's adorable :)
The contrast between the blues/grays in the background and her pink dress is perfect. I especially love the ones where she's sitting in the waves.
LOL-- I was thinking that-- and then I realized that I would have been doing exactly what you were doing... getting it on camera! Love them!
So cute! I love the bright colors. :)
So funny! I would be doing the same thing! Cute captures!
