Peer Pressure

I have succumb to peer pressure!  I have given in.  Not that I am doing anything wrong or bad.  I am just doing something that I have been meaning to do for ages and the main reason that I am doing it is because two of my other blogger buddies just did it.  I keep thinking about the award that I have been given and I am honored to have been given them.  Really truly I am!  I just have a hard time thinking of a bunch of stuff about me and only me.  So here you go, I am about to give you a little TMI on me.

This award was given to me by Becoming Briggs

1. My favorite flowers are wild growing daisies and black eyed susans.  Followed close behind by orchids and irises.   Love them!

2.  I freckle in the sun so when everyone else is sporting a nice tan I am red and freckly.  Yep, I'm all sorts of lovely in the summer.

3.I am the oldest of 5 children and I am the shortest by at least 2 inches!

4.  I am really struggling with whether to home-school Wes or not.  Really struggling!

5.  I would love to travel out West.  I long to see "real" mountains and desserts.

6.  I waited till I was 18 to get my driver's license.  I learned to drive in a 12 passenger Ford Club wagon in 8 lanes of traffic.  Not much scared me any more.

7.  I can't stand it when people do not use their blinkers or wait till the last second to turn them on!

8. I crave chocolate.  A LOT!

9.  I should be doing laundry.

10.  Yesterday I cried because I felt lonely.  Today I just want to be alone.  I don't understand myself some days!

Versatile Blogger

Given to me by Julie at The Peanut Gallery
1. I make my own laundry soap.  I am looking into making or using goat milk soap in it.

2.  A gardener I am not but my  poinsettia is still alive from Christmas.  I do however grow a small variety of veggies and herbs.

3.  I love old vintage things...maybe that's why I married a man 9 years older than me!  I'm joking...well kind of.  :)

4.  I am a dog person yet I have owned 5 cats, 6 chickens, 2 ducks, and at least 4 fish in the last 7 years and no dogs.

5.I can drive a tractor and a standard vehicle.

6.  I make gape juice and jelly in the fall.  It makes me itch for days!  I must be allergic to the squished grapes but I do it every year because I love the final product.

7.  I am fix toilets and change the oil in my car.  I rarely do because Matt
does but it is good to know that I can.

8.  I can not think of anything else versatile about myself.

This is not really an award but fun none the same.  I was tagged by Angie at Wife, Lawyer, and Mother

Here are the rules:  for the 8 x8 Blog tag
1. Go to your photos files and select the 8th photo folder.
2. Select the 8th photo in that folder.

This photo was taken when I was trying to do laundry.  I put both kids in Felicity's crib and Wesley started reading to her!  Sweet memory.

Congrats on all the awards. And great speech. Loved your little pieces of you, especially the one that said "Yesterday I cried because I felt lonely. Today I just want to be alone. I don't understand myself some days!" So honest and real. We all feel like this sometimes.
