I've got Georgia on my mind. :)
My first glimpses of Georgia were through dog tired eyes but I swear that I saw things hanging from all the trees. It was around 5am when I first noticed it. The sun was barely shinning enough to make the silhouette of the shaggy trees visible.
I joked with my mom that we were going to see the Lockness Monster at any minute. We had no idea what we were looking at.
It was moss, Spanish Moss to be exact and it was everywhere. Well almost everywhere, I did notice that it was not on any of the lollipop looking Pine trees. Anyone know why it does not grow on Pine trees?
In some places like this swamp there is so much Spanish Moss that it kills the trees. I think it makes them look creepy...neat but creepy.
We also saw a lot of Wisteria. I thought that was really pretty.
We stopped along side of the road to see these beauties. I have no idea what they are and we only saw them in one spot. They are beautiful! Anyone know what they are?
And lastly we saw plenty of Azelas which we do have up here in NY, they are just not blooming yet. It was so neat to see all the different plants down there. The moss was the most surprising to me. I wanted to take some home but forgot. I was told tiny red bugs live it...so it is probably good that I forgot.
More about Georgia and the wedding later. I have a weeks worth of laundry to do!

Wow!! I love the moss on the trees it looks like a dream or something:)
Georgia is a beautiful state!! And Spanish Moss - who doesn't know what that is!! LOL! Can you tell I was born/raised in GA!? Yes, the red bugs are "chiggers" and you don't want them. The moss is beautiful though! I hope you had a wonderful time, and I can't wait to see wedding pics, I am sure they are awesome!
