A little about ME

Most of my post are about my kids and Matthew and even a little bit about Kirstie.  I love them, they make me so very happy.  I feel more comfortable talking about them and sharing photos of them.  I don't like attention, don't like to be in the spot light, my wedding and baby showers were torturous.  I love to be behind the camera, but feel completely uncomfortable and self conscience in front of it.

I think it to time to share a little about me.

I am not the type of person that hugs and kisses my friends or walk up to someone new and introduces myself.  Don't get me wrong if you come at me with open arms, I won't leave you hanging, I just don't usually hug anyone but my husband and kids without it being initiated by someone else.  I prefer to show my affection towards others in other ways, like helping them.   Some call me shy.  Once I know you I am not shy but it takes me a little while, and if in the same room with a dominant personality I willing let them take the lime light.

Matthew is my best friend. I love him.  We met when I was in high school and he worked on his family farm behind the house that my mom rented.  We were married just shy of 3 years after we started dating.  We have grown so much and tested each other since we were married in October 2005.  It's amazing how we have grown together through everything.  I love him.

I have always wanted to be a Mommy.  So when I had only been married for 3 months and I learned I was pregnant I was beyond excited!  Wes was not planned but so wanted! I  am a relaxed mommy, who lets my kids get dirty and play hard.  I don't freak out about germs, but I do wash their hands and don't let them suck on grocery carts.  I always swore I would never use cloth diapers because I thought they smelt bad and were hard to clean.  I could not have been more wrong.  I tried a homemade one on Felicity about 2 months ago and have been slightly addicted to making them and using them since!  I wear two different types of homemade wraps and love every minute of it.

I love making soups, breads, and salads.  I used to dream of owning and running a cafe with my sister Kirstie, who loves to bake goodies.  Who knows we still may!  I love photography and I am trying to learn as much about it as possible.  One of my favorite things to do is ride on our four-wheelers.  I make my own jellies, relishes, baby food, grape juice, laundry soap, diapers, baby wraps and slings.  I love antiques.  I can't wait to own a home!  I love going to church and meeting other Christians.  I want to do more in our church and find a way help others more.  I am a very light sleeper and passed that trait onto Felicity.

So now you know a little bit more about me.  Hopefully I did not scare you away. :-)

I didn't know this about you...but, of course, since we're fellow bloggers I won't wait for the hug. I'm more comfortable, too, out of the spotlight...I don't know if I'd call it shyness, though. Anyway, looking forward to reading more and getting to know you better.

You are so sweet. Sounds like if we met in real life I would FOR sure be the HUGGING WILD DOMINANT FREAK. ....and you would be terrified. lol...I love tender and meek people....something I strive to balance my personality with :)

Good idea - I really enjoyed reading about you - it was fun to "get to know" you. I feel like we would be IRL friends! I have to agree with Sami though, we may fight over the hug! Just teasing Sami - you can be the dominant freak! It is fun meeting other Christian women, whom you share common interest with - internet or not, it's fun. Thank you for allowing us in a little bit!

It was nice to learn more about you. It is beyond amazing to me how when you describe your personality, so many things ring a bell to me. Even the pregnant at 3 months of marriage. (been there ;O))
